“Ursula Werner’s Magda Revealed is such a compelling, provocative and deeply researched retelling of the traditional Christian narrative that you’ll find yourself not just questioning old religious assumptions but happily casting them off. In Werner’s deeply empathetic hands, Magda becomes a heroine both for her time and ours.”
–LOUIS BAYARD, author of The Wildes and The Pale Blue Eye
“Fans of historical retellings will be captivated.”
–BOOK LIFE, Editor’s Choice
"A revelatory work of fiction, which humanizes the Son of God in a way few writers have achieved. Magda Revealed assertively challenges the modern conceptions and unexamined dogma of the world’s largest religion, resulting in a refreshing and articulate new perspective on Yeshua and the forgotten foundations of his faith. Wickedly clever, yet respectful in its bold retelling, this is an inventive, immersive, and enthralling tale, reminding readers that written history rarely captures the whole story."
–SPR, Amazon.com
“. . . a whole new slant on the life of Mary Magdalene and the ministry of Jesus . . . both unexpected and delightful . . . [I]t has a magnificent twist at the end.”

For two thousand years, history hijacked her story, silenced her, called her a whore.
You think you know all about the man she spent her life with – Yeshua of Nazareth – but you don’t. Magda knew him, Magda loved him, Magda understood better than anyone else what he was trying to tell the world.
She wants to set the record straight. And she’s ready to tell her story, her truth about what happened in Judea all those years ago.
